Why have we introduced an attendance fee?
As we prepare for our first R200 event of the year, we'd like to be transparent and address an important change: for the first time, we're introducing a modest attendance fee of £50 per person. We understand that this might come as a surprise, but we want to assure you that this decision was only made after careful consideration of the current economic landscape.
In recent years, our operational costs have risen significantly, with our finances being stretched further than ever before in order to continually provide three high-quality face-to-face events a year. Venue costs, logistical costs and more have continued to increase, making the organisation of these events more financially challenging for our brand. Thus, to sustain the quality of these events, we've introduced a nominal attendance fee.
We've endeavoured to keep this fee as low as possible, striking a delicate balance between maintaining accessibility for hardworking restaurant businesses and securing the future viability of the R200 Club.
