Tom’s story blends passion, craft, and a mission to bring exceptional pizza to everyday people today. Raised in Watford, he started his kitchen apprenticeship at just 14, quickly falling in love with dough, fire, and flavour. His pizza obsession took him across the world, from Manhattan and Brooklyn’s legendary New York slice shops to the wood-fired ovens of Naples, before eventually leading him back home. During lockdown, he built a pizza oven in his garden and spent months refining his dough technique, hosting backyard tastings for family and friends. Word spread fast, and those informal gatherings evolved into Vincenzo’s Pizza, officially launched in 2022 and now celebrated as one of the UK’s most exciting independent pizzerias. Famous for its New York–style foldable slices with a Neapolitan soul, Vincenzo’s runs a flagship site in Bushey and continues to grow, with a new Shoreditch slice shop set to open this November. Tom’s commitment to authenticity shows in every detail, from Italian flour sourced in Puglia to San Marzano tomatoes and premium cheese from Latteria Sorrentina. His dedication has attracted a loyal following, major food brand partnerships, a Gozney brand ambassadorship, and the launch of his own premium chilli oil with Kick Foods.
